Eowave Redondances Delay
Quad Head Hybrid Stereo Delay (26 HP)
Inspired by 80s delay processors, "Redondances" is a 4-head hybrid stereo delay.
It is designed more as a sound shaper than as a delay effect at the end of the chain.
The idea is to use two digital cores to delay the signal, acting like BBD chips. Each core has two playback heads and an analog feedback path.
Redondances is similar to a dual stereo tape deck. You can control the motor speed (Speed), move your playback heads (Size), and route the signal back through an analog feedback loop (Feedback & Filters).
Key Features:
- Hybrid architecture combining digital delay with a fully analog signal path (crossfader, filter, VCA), producing a gritty, overdriven sound.
Audio routes through a microcontroller, two playback heads, going into a VCA crossfader, then go to a 12dB HP/LP filter, and then to a VCA feedback loop. - Variable speed affects pitch and fidelity like a tape motor, ranging from 2kHz (30 min delay) to 50kHz (maximum 1 min 20 delay).
Low speeds introduce dark digital aliasing, - characteristic of early digital delays.
- A 3-position switch (Sync / Link / Free) controls stereo behaviour — clock sync, rhythmic division/multiplication, or fully independent engines.
